Summary of a Fantastic Visit

I don't know if I can even remember everything my grandparents and I were able to do together last week, but I do know that we had a fantastic time together. We made an appearance at Birdland, a famous jazz club in the theater district with young movie star Josh Harknett was in attendance, Mare and Bill attended three services at St. Bartholomew's seeing me join the church officially and hearing the singing of Mozart's Missa Brevis in G with the professional choir (spectacular music), spent a few hours at my middle school (participating in the class and visiting with my students), went to a fun revival of Neil Simon's Barefoot in the Park and loved it, dined in Chinatown and even tried Bubble Milk Tea (not a favorite, but definitely an experience), and finally hung out with their favorite granddaughter (Grace is still only three so she's not too much competition) at their hotel in mid-town Manhattan.

I am so very thankful that they were both able to take the time out of their busy schedules to truly enjoy New York with me and really experience life to the fullest. I know that they both also enjoyed the visit and plan to come back soon. How fun is that!
