Making 2B into a Home

Katie and I have been very busy the last four days moving in and setting up our apartment in Yorkville. Katie bought a window unit air conditioner on Sunday and the breeze has made all the work easier. I made my second trip to Target and decided on a pretty accent rug instead of the first season of the Cosby Show (it just came out today and I really want it, but other things must come first at this point). Katie's things (including the twin bed that I am to use) are suppose to arrive this evening so we should have a lot of work to do unloading boxes and unpacking. We should get internet and cable (basic channels) on Thursday and then Katie's parents will arrive on Friday to help us with the final set up.
In the meantime, I made a trip to Home Depot today and bought paint and primer. We are currently in the midst of painting to small pieces of furniture that were left in our apartment by the former tenants: a TV stand and a little desk that I'll put in my room. I am covered with primer right now and taking a break while Katie paints on the warm red I bought earlier.
Oh, and the most exciting news is this: I have an interview tomorrow! It sounds like a great school and, even though it's less than five miles away, it will probably take me just about an hour to get there. The principal sounds fantastic and the position is for middle school ESL with a specialization in Social Studies. I am looking forward to this interview very much. The principal sounds interested in me as well. He told my TFA contact that I must have experience with Hispanic communities, living in Waco, and that I would definitely be able to cook him something, being a nutrition minor. He also said that I should dress casual because it's so hot out.
I think I'll still dress nicely, but I will definitely be prepared for a casual (low-pressure) interview. MS 328 -- here I come -- 10 am tomorrow morning. I can't wait!
