Beautiful Ballet

After completing my first week of teaching in the new year, I decided it was time to cross something off my Things I Want to Do During My Two Years in New York list. I did a little research online and found a $15 student ticket to the New York City Ballet in Lincoln Center. After school on Friday, I trekked home, made myself dinner, and then headed over to the West Side to my first real ballet in a long time, meaning that The Nutcracker doesn't count. Well, I must say I wasn't prepared for how fantastic this performance would be. The music, familiar enough to be enjoyable, the choreography, based on Balanchine's original work with the NYC Ballet, and the dancers, simply amazing. An experience well worth it and a well made memory.
